City & Guilds 2392-10 Fundamental Inspection, Testing and Initial Verification

A new qualification, the C&G 2392-10 provides an introduction to the fundamentals of inspection, testing and initial verification of electrical installations.

It is aimed at practicing electricians who have not carried out inspection and testing since qualifying or who require some update training. It is also suitable for those coming into the industry with limited experience of inspection and testing. All knowledge requirements will be underpinned by frequent practical activities.

Candidates who achieve this qualification could progress onto the Certificate in Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations (C&G 2392-20).

Assessment:

• A multiple choice online assessment covering the underpinning knowledge relating to the fundamental inspection, testing and initial verification of electrical installations, as required by BS 7671:2008
• A practical test covering the range of inspections, tests, verification and recording of information and results for a new electrical installation, as required by BS 7671:2008
