The aim of this course is to provide candidates with a basic knowledge of health and safety in the workplace, including the duties that are placed on employers and on employees.

There is no requirement for previous knowledge and the course is designed to be of benefit to employees of diverse educational and work experience backgrounds. Ideally employers should deliver this training as part of an induction programme. It could be part of ongoing training designed to improve the safety culture within an organisation.
